Asia Region

Asia as a region has been endowed with climate risks, witnessing natural disasters and extreme events resulting in melting Himalayan glaciers, sea level rise, variability in rainfall, all of which contribute to increasing vulnerabilities and adaption necessities for it. Simultaneously altering between developmental needs and challenges, the region despite being the fastest growing region lacks in capacity to uphold its developmental goals while also tackling climate change risks and challenges. This added burden to development thus calls for an inclusive policy framework linking climate action to sustainable development and thereby keeping the buoyancy of environmental friendly coordination intact.
